Article: The Perfect Wave

The Perfect Wave

The Perfect Wave

Our resident Hair Expert, Haley Bonney breaks down the products used to create this look.

What Hair Products to use for the perfect soft wave blowdry

All products used by Haley are by Aveda.

Botanical Repair Leave in Treatment

To prep the hair. This product detangles, is a heat protector and repairs hair from the 'inside out' with the power of plants.

Phomollient styling foam

The perfect base for every blowdry, applied from mid-lengths to ends. Phomollient gives weightless volume and hold, without leaving the hair feeling sticky. This means less hairspray needs to be used to finish the look. A heavy hand with hairspray can result in a wave that looks too 'stiff' and 'set' rather than 'modern' and 'soft' like the look created here.

Nutriplenish multi-use hair oil

To finish the look Haley applied two pumps of Nutriplenish multi-use hair oil, distributing through the mid-lengths to ends for added moisture and shine.
This oil is suitable for all hair types and can be used in a multitude of ways:

  • Use as a pre-shampoo treatment on dry hair from root to tip. Shampoo out.
  • Use post styling to add moisture and shine.
  • Use as a leave-in treatment overnight on dry hair. Shampoo in the morning.
  • Use as a hydrating scalp massage.
